It's All About The Negativity.

So today was a pretty boring day. I went to class, wrote a paper, edited a piece I had already written, and forgot to print out my bus tickets for my trip home tomorrow. Of course. I mean, I always have to forget something.

Well, I took these photos with my boyfriend's phone and I rather liked them. So. Here. We. Go.
So I decided that green leaves are just boring. So now they're purple-ish. Taking photos in negative is sooo much fun.
Here's another:
So that's my friend Dave in his wonderful camo pants ready to dive into the poisonous pool of purple lilies. That's what I've decided.
Trees are cool. That's pretty much all I've got right now.
This just looks awesome.
So if you look to the right of the pretty courtyard you can see the girl with BRIGHT ORANGE HAIR. It's bright blue with this effect, but come on! Bright orange?!! It was neon!
This is the wonderful fountain that kids were running through earlier. Look how high that is! I would never run through that. But that might because I hate water, though I'm going to pretend it's because it looks scary.

I'll be home for the weekend, as I said earlier, so I will not be able to put up any photos. I will be taking plenty though so don't you worry.

When I Should Be Helping in the Market

I am taking pictures of a table instead. Much more exciting, I think. After I got out of my (for-once) exciting class I managed to pull out my camera and start looking around campus.

I seem to have a hard-on for up-close-and-personal shots, so here are a few that I took earlier. I got a little bored with them so I edited them and played with the effects for a bit.

As you can tell, it's a bit dark. This was me just looking through the table holes.

Here's some boring flowers being eaten by flies. Hi flies! I've seen better looking flowers.

So imagine you're walking past a grocery store and you see a girl pop out of the bushes. That was me. I wanted a picture from the perspective of inside the bush. Or plant. Whatever it's called.

I made a peace sign! Go me!

Well, here's the same picture after I've blown out the colors. I think it looks pretty cool. What do you think?

This is not quite what I was going for, but it's something new. I was hoping this would come out better.

This is a favorite for today. I just really like the lighting and the fact that the table is now hold. It's just awesome.

I normally really don't like the crazy effects that editing photos can do, but this just felt like a pink picture to me.

Chairs can be so interesting. Don't you think? Ordinary objects can bring out some of the coolest products. I mean, I once had a photography professor who did an entire project on trash cans and the different ones around the world.

Ok. So that's it for today. Well, I might have some more later on tonight. Depends if I finish my assignments. Ugh.

Photos I Had Developed

So I had just gotten a new camera that I thought was just awesome. Well, originally I had thought it was a digital camera, but because I am an absolutely idiot, it was a film camera. Now don't get me wrong-I love getting photos developed, but it's a hell of a lot easier when I do not have to scan photos back on to my computer in order to get them up here. So I'm using my other digital camera. And that wonderful film camera is going to be sold.

I got my photos developed and these are the ones that I really liked.
This is one I took outside of my building. I just love how the picture pulls your eye up.

This is not a favorite. I was hoping that this curb would do that same effect to what the bricks had done, but no. I fiddled with this one to try and make it look a bit better. It looks better than it did before, but I'm not a fan of how that corner of grass looks. Oh well.
This one is a nice one. I stuck myself into a bush for a few minutes and I like how this came out. That object in the front was a rock...but I don't think that really comes across. But the rock doesn't matter to me. It's all about the details in those leaves.
This one is my favorite. I just love the flowers. I figured I'd save this one for last. I just love it.

Totally amateur. I know. But come on! It's all for fun. And it entertains me to take these. So humor me. I was planning on going to the beach today and trying to get some photos, but plans fell through and I had to entertain myself with other things. Like flowers.

Hope I'll have something more exciting for tomorrow.

Just A Picture I Found

Since I haven't taken any pictures yet today to put up, I feel the need to have a picture of some sort. I mean this is going to be a photo blog.
It speaks for itself. I found this on Lolcats a while back and I just thought it was adorable. If you don't already know about Lolcats, then check them out at http://icanhascheezburger.com/ You can also check out That Will Buff Out at http://thatwillbuffout.com/ They've got some ridiculous photos of cars and trucks. That site has gotten me through incredibly long work days as well as classes. So for now, enjoy those until I have something more for the followers I hope to have one day.

Day 1

I don't really know where I'm going with this. I want to make the last month of summer as fulfilling as possible. I don't really have as much time as I'd like to think so starting tomorrow, I'm going to make sure I'm out and about everyday.

I was going to go out with my friend today, but she canceled. She wanted to watch Back To The Future instead of going out and being in the warm sun. She had never seen Back To The Future, so it's not like I can blame her. I mean, I'm sitting in bed, freezing my butt off because the air conditioning in here makes this place an icebox. Not that I'm really complaining. I'd rather be cold than hot. At least I have blankets so I can snuggle.

I went out for a bit today. I decided to try out my new camera. I want to start taking pictures again, but I always feel so awkward when I walk around town and try to take pictures of things that interest me. When I was in Italy, it didn't really matter because I already felt awkward since I can't speak a lick of Italian. Plus, I know people here in Boston. I'm not a photographer. Far from it. I just like taking pictures.

That stupid commercial for Orajel just came on again. Really? You think that a toothache hurts more than child birth? Not that I've had experience with either issue, something tells me that child birth wins hands down.

I don't even really know why I'm bothering to write this. I guess I just miss having a blog. Having people read my thoughts. It was so much easier when I had friends in high school that wanted to read about things I'm doing. Now, I have a few friends here and there, but after a lot of stress, I let go of several friends that I had in high school. Do I regret it? Maybe for a few of them that I didn't want to stop talking to, but most of them were ones that I just needed to leave behind.
